Primary Research
In order to better understand user’s needs and find the gap within the vehicle purchase, several interviews were conducted and 3 user archetypes were identified. Based on their purchase behavior and mental model, I sketched the user journey map and noted the pain points and opportunities of each section.

With the narrowed direction, I identified the key pages that involve in and conducted a competitor research to stand on the shoulders of giants. In terms of the list page, I referred page design from CARFAX, TrueCar, AutoTrader, Cars and KBB and benchmark their filter functions.
